Overlooking scenic Lake Tahoe, Postmarc Hotel and Spa Suites offers rooms with hot tubs and cable TVs. We are one mile away from Heavenly Ski Area.

Edit: For the Owner: Your response as an owner isn’t just disappointing, it's deeply concerning. It’s clear you’re not truly apologetic; your sarcasm speaks louder than your apology. A sincere apology means taking accountability and showing a willingness to improve, and none of that is present here. You and your staff were not “verbally abused.” My husband spoke firmly, but respectfully, with an incredibly rude staff member over the phone who, for 10 minutes, refused to refund us and was adamantly (and incorrectly) insisting we had stayed the night—until we mentioned the security cameras. That staff member clearly lied about what transpired, I was there the entire time. My husband never raised his voice or used foul language. He was understandably frustrated but handled himself with far more professionalism than your staff did. The fact that you would lie about verbal abuse is more disgusting than the state of your hotel. It’s not only unprofessional, it’s immoral. If you don’t want people to be upset with you or your staff, then don’t provide unsafe and unsanitary conditions. Someone asking for a refund for a room they never stayed in is not verbal abuse. Do better. This wasn’t just a matter of crumbs or hair on the floor. There were serious safety violations, like dangerously rickety flooring around a tub on the second story, strong smells of mold and mildew, and more. That’s not just unsanitary, that’s straight-up dangerous. The fact that you’re brushing this off instead of addressing it responsibly is a giant red flag for anyone considering a stay here. Potential Guests: please re-read the owner’s reply to these documented issues. This is how they handle genuine safety concerns. I truly hope no one gets hurt as a result of your negligence. To turn this back on us and lie to suggest we were abusive is not only false, it’s shameful. Echoing your own words, we “truly hope” you stay far away from travelers expecting decency, safety, or truthfulness. Do better.

Set in South Lake Tahoe, 0.8 mi from Tahoe Queen, The Elet Hotel has rooms with free WiFi access.

This motel/hotel truly shines because of its prime location! It's just a stone's throw from Heavenly Village, making it incredibly convenient. We also appreciated the complimentary parking and the hotel's location, slightly off the main intersection, adds to its appeal, as it offered us a quiet, traffic-free stay. The room itself was spotlessly clean, with everything, including the window AC, appearing recently updated or installed. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, adding to a very pleasant stay.

FAQs about hotels in South Lake Tahoe

Sun, Ski, Fun & Scenery

South Lake Tahoe has made up for its relatively short history by rapidly developing into America’s all-year playground. The natural surrounds of the Sierra Nevada and Lake Tahoe provide winter and water sports enthusiasts with plenty of action, and its well-renowned nightlife and proximity to Stateline in Nevada satisfies the partygoers.

There are a multitude of restaurants, bars and dance clubs set back from its sandy or rocky shores that are open around the clock. Jump aboard the old Mississippi paddle wheeler Tahoe Queen as she ploughs her way through the intense blue waters of the lake or you can choose for muscle power by going canoeing.

Not far from North America’s largest alpine lake is Heavenly Ski Resort that features an abundance of world-class ski runs all serviced by a large number of quality ski lifts. The runs provide something for everyone from beginners to the more experienced, and snowboarders to cross-country skiers.

The astonishing wilderness that surrounds South Lake Tahoe can be explored on mountain bike or by boat. Emerald Bay is particularly impressive with the magnificent Vikingsholm castle hidden amongst the pine-infested hills.

Booking.com offers something for every taste whether it is a skiing resort, lakeside lodge, luxury hotel or backpacker hostel.

    It snowed in May!!!

It snowed in May!!! The local coffee shop (Clyde’s coffee) had such a cute ambience that was so country style with great coffee. We saw a bear our first night and it was only in the parking lot of the motel. The area looks like it has lots of shops and tons to do in the snow or lake. Can’t wait to plan another trip.

    A beautiful area to explore.

A beautiful area to explore. The gondola ride was excellent and the drive around the lake beautiful. The scenery was exceptional and we would recommend a trip to Lake Tahoe. We had breakfasts at a superb place called Driftwood- the portions were large and we learnt to share the meal - they added lots of sides. The wait staff were delightful and we would highly recommend. We also enjoyed a very nice meal at Jimmy’s which was lovely but quite expensive! The pizza that we had at the Stateline Brewery and Restaurant was the best I have ever had.

    Tahoe is EXSPENSIVE.

Tahoe is EXSPENSIVE. Just to use the gondola it is $129 per person! So I did not purchase it. I heard it is $60 in summer but in winter it is double. Heard they have tubing at the summit but was not going to pay that. The lake is beautiful. There are a couple of restaurants that have great views of the lake at sunset but my the bill for two was over $200. You can find some good hotels at a decent price. My girlfriend and I went snowmobile which was awesome but another $265. Gas is super expensive. They have a couple casinos. Short walk downtown but a nice relaxing walk. They have some great beaches! Probably some good hikes as well although I did not hike that weekend. I did go tubing at "Tube Tahoe". I definitely recommend calling and asking if there big jump with a huge airbag to land on is open. I paid $72 for 1.5 hours when it said 2 hours and the big jump was not even open yet. Takes a weekend to fully experience lake Tahoe. Come once in winter and once in summer and you will have seen all of Tahoe. I still recommend going!

    Stunning location.

Stunning location. Scenery , outdoor activities, easy to get to (if not snowing). Lots of choice accommodation and eating, from huts, to condos, hotels, casinos, .. 6 ski areas all with a different vibe. If snowing, highways in and out can close, and check chain laws in effect. Quite expensive, especially busy weekends.
